Somehow we have already come to the end of 2016. It has been an eventful and surprising year to say the least and a lot of great artists have been lost (we’re still sobbing over Bowie at HQ) but other than that we’ve actually had a pretty big and exciting year at The White Bulb. Here are a few of the highlights:
Vikki Goes Solo
After juggling more than one career and job for a while, our lovely Vikki is now working full time on The White Bulb, creating amazing little letter lights for all of your homes and hearts! To learn more about our company and how it has grown, please take a look at one of our fave blog posts from the year, The A-Z of The White Bulb.
Strapping on our big girl pants
As a result of the increase in business and in the time spent on the business, we got our own studio – and had so much fun decorating it, which we gave you an insight into here.
Plus, one of the best things about having our own little space is being able to bring the pups in for the day. They have their own space and are quite settled here now. It’s great to have some company PLUS getting them out to stretch their legs and take a break allows Vikki to do the same – a necessity often overlooked by small biz owners, don’t we know! Work-life balance and all. Read more about the pooches in our Bring Your Dog to Work Day post from a few months ago.
New Product Launches
We were proud to launch our new items, such as our flower letter lights and our light up succulent letters and now also our newest cake topper and fun wedding accessory line in 2016. We’ll publish more on that collection soon so stay tuned. In the meantime, you can catch up on the botanical trend with our succulents and also see how to do flower lights five ways in this post.
Traversing Yorkshire in the Name of Love
We grew the letter light hire side of the business, driving to more and more lovely locations across Yorkshire for some stunning weddings creating dance floor back-lighting and photobooth decor for those perfect wedding snaps. It’s been amazing to meet all of the wonderful couples that we have worked with this year. If you are tossing up whether to hire or buy large letter lights for your wedding, we created a handy guide for you a few months ago.
Happy New Year, everybody!
Thanks for your support this year and we hope to continue to chat with you and create for you for many years to come.
Here’s to 2017!
THANK YOU from all at The White Bulb.
